I’m simply sharing my personal experience.* I’ve been experimenting more with turmeric supplements for the past 2-3 weeks and I wanted to share my experience with you. First of all, turmeric is a natural medicinal herb with anti inflammatory properties that has been used for so many years in India and other countries, more known as the curcuma spice. Although I use this spice often when cooking, I was curious to experiment and know more about the health benefits that taking this supplement would have on my body. What made me think of inflammation and natural remedies in the first place is actually a bit of a controversial subject, but it’s because of my second covid vaccine dose. Some of you know that I experienced very intense upper gastric pain for about 48 hours after receiving the second shot. I could not move, eat, drink, walk and could barely talk. I even thought about going into the ER because the pain was that intense, and mind you I have never been to the ER before. I did not end up going because I wasn’t running a fever, nor had I other symptoms that would justify me going, and the pain was under control after 48 long hours (that being said, I’m super thankful to have received both doses of the vaccine, and would absolutely do it again if needed). Anyways, a few months later, that situation had stayed in the back of my mind as I was learning more about covid and it’s potential relation to pre existing inflammation in the body. To be honest, I was scared of the pain I felt. Illness scares me for many many different and personal reasons.. I want to stay on top of my health and do everything that is in my control to make sure that I live a long, healthy and painless life. This is where the Turmeric comes into play. As it’s been around for so many years as a natural anti inflammatory substance, I thought.. why not try it and see how it makes me feel. And so far, so good. Strangely, I have seen improvements in my skin breakouts during my time of the month. They are less intense. I also noticed having less stomach aches here and there. I’ve actually not gotten a single one since I started taking it daily. I’ve been super curious about ancient and natural remedies. I want to try and achieve a more painless, healthy life for as long as possible by preventing any preexisting conditions or risk factors in my life… and I think this will be a super interesting journey to share here with you guys as I continue to experiment, learn and live.
