Being penetrated should not feel painful.
However, there are MANY reasons as to why it can:
* Premature penetration
* Positioning
* Oversensitivity and numbness due to trauma and neglect
* Specific health conditions
Among others.
If it it painful, your body is attempting to communicate with you.
Premature penetration is extremely common in a society that fixates on reaching an end goal in love making.
Not allowing the body time to open up can be damaging on several levels.
So when it’s painful, please listen. Slow down. Breathe. Allow yourself a chance to warm up. Allow your partner a chance to do the same.
“Doggy style” and positions where you’re penetrated from behind can become painful more quickly because of easier access to your c e r v i x .
So being “rammed” in this position repeatedly can actually become damaging to your c e r v i x when you are not honoring your body if it’s hurting.
These positions are perfectly fine, but it’s important to be mindful.
Many of us have c e r v i x e s that are numb or hyper-sensitive because of societal conditioning and trauma.
So when we are near them, be gentler.
Again, give yourself time to open and warm up, create the space for your partner to be able to do the same.
It’s also important we begin to form a relationship with and tend to our c e r v i x outside of just when we are having sex, this way we can begin to heal the area as well as honor her better in these moments.
